About me

Tracy knits, spins, and dyes on the coast of Maine. She raises children and chickens. She works in a yarn store, substitute teaches, teaches knitting, spinning and dyeing classes, and spends entirely too much time on her computer. If you want a favor, send her good, dark chocolate.

Right now (winter 2007) she’s learning to use a knitting machine, learning WordPress, trying to work at least 20 days per month, and enjoying the Maine winter.

In past lives she’s run a restaurant, typeset ads for newspapers, written for freebie papers, programmed computers, done business analysis, project managed, and sold real estate.

Her brain is full of trivia of every stripe, including, but not limited to:

  • television (currently: Grey’s Anatomy, Ugly Betty, Dresden Files, Studio 60, Bones, Veronica Mars, Rome)
  • Shakespeare
  • recipes
  • breeds of sheep and their fleece
  • Rick Reeves spinning wheels
  • Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel the Series (I know enough that it warrented its own line)
  • Cooking

Greatest accomplishments: raising my children, programming this blog, escaping the corporate world.

And, she’s especially thankful to her DH for setting up this website and giving me a place to work on it.
