Syncopated Hat

My lovely co-workers down at Unique One often issue friendly knitting challenges. Summer ‘07 Interweave Knits had the pattern for this Syncopated Hat. We each choose our own yarns. Like normal, it took me months to decide what yarns to use. I believe everyone else used fingering weight yarns–sock yarns like Shibui come in some amazing variegations–but I chose a sport weight pair: Wool in the Woods Cherub and Classic Elite’s Classic One Fifty (both are available at the store).

I’ve been drooling for chocolate brown yarns for the past year or so and after trying out about twenty different combinations of yarn, I came up with this:

Interweave Knits Summer 07, Syncopated Hat

I love how it came out, even though I don’t think these colors are my best. I’m toying with the idea of knitting another one . . .
