Stumble Upon

When my brain is too fried to actually knit I usually sit at my laptop on the couch and Stumble.  Stumble is a nifty little plug-in that works with both Firefox and IE (and both Macs and PCs).  You sign up and install the plug-in so you can "Stumble about" the World Wide Web.  The really cool thing is that you can choose your favorite topics ranging from knitting/crocheting to daytrading to skydiving to robotics.

By clicking on a button you wander around the Web and rate the sites you visit, even writing reviews if you like. You can recommend sites and share them, too.

Many of the knitting sites are yarn stores, which is interesting, but not all that exciting or new.  I really love it when I run into something like a Lego Knitting Machine that really works.  When you visit the site make sure you click on the Quicktime movie of the machine working as well as the gallery of images.  I really wish my kids would use their Legos to make me one of these!

More books tomorrow!
